Right up the street from me
is the Old Friends Sanctuary.
These sweet babes might have
lost their owner to death and
no in the family wanted them.
They might have been abandoned.
But whatever, they either live out
their life being taken great care
of or being adopted.
James and Julie adopted one
of their babes, Laney from
there.
I was tickled to see this article
today.
Mt. Juliet dog to compete in 2020 Dog Bowl
A dog from Mt. Juliet will represent Middle Tennessee in Animal Planet's Dog Bowl, which is set to air at 8 p.m. Feb. 1.
During the 2020 Dog Bowl, 65 adoptable dogs will compete for the first-ever Super Senior Award and Old Friends Senior Dog Sanctuary is thrilled to announce it has one dog who made the final roster in the adorable competition airing during football's biggest weekend. This one-hour special is hosted by award-winning animal advocate, Jill Rappaport.
Old Friends Senior Dog Sanctuary's dog, Mack, will enter the GEICO gridiron, alongside dozens of other pooches from animal shelters across the country, vying for the first-ever Super Senior Award.
Mack came to Old Friends Senior Dog Sanctuary in March 2016. When he arrived he had eyes, however he was battling with glaucoma. In August 2016, we had Mack's eyes removed and Mack gained a new spark of life. He has never let his blindness slow him down, in fact he has made the best of it.
That's such a heartwarming story, go Mack go!
