The Basket and Nails

This basket usually sats in my
bedroom but I brought it down
stairs for some reason.

I sat it up on Lily's cat tree
and she seems to love it there.

She is so well behaved. This evening
I sat her up in my lap and clipped
her nails. She just sits there and lets
me do my thing. I tell folks that have
cats that I do this and they are
amazed that she lets me do this.

She is so good.

Chey and Molly will get theirs
done tomorrow. Dakota
has his done when he had surgery.

The Tail

Lily loves this time of yr
when she can lay around
on the deck and talk
to the birds.

The other day after hanging around
on the deck she came in and
went under the cover on the
couch. She normally don't do
this. A little later
Cheyenne jumped up between
Lily and I. Cheyenne
had no clue that Lily was
laying under the cover next
to her until I heard
Chey yelp, she jumped
and I realized that Lily
stuck her paw out and was
messing with Chey!

Sometimes she can be a
bottom end!!

Waiting to be Fed

Oh my gosh.....
I was in the kitchen cooking
and baking today and these
two hung with me the whole
time.
They knew I was cooking their
meals for the next few days.

Cheyenne was the only one in
the living room being respectful
and not under my feet.

About 30 mins before dinner
time Lily ran in off the deck
and jumped up on her
stool, waiting to be fed!!

I finally gave in and fed
early.

Got a text from sis in law
Lori the other day with
a pic of Khloe.
Lori said she was proud
of herself while running
around carrying the
cat dish.

She is working out really well
at Ray and Lori's and
the stress at my home
has gotten a lot
better.

Khloe and the Reason

I was asked why I gave Khloe
to my older brother.
There were several reasons.

One being that she did not trust
me. You could see that she
wanted to cause she would
come over to me to be petted
but if I walked up to her she
would run.
Reason for this was that mom
stopped taking her dogs to
the vet to have nails clipped.
So I started doing it.
K held that against me for
about a yr now.
When I would go to moms both
her and Molly would get
under the bed.

Molly however has gotten over it.

Next, it was just way to many
pets in my small home. I was
totally stressing out really bad.

K seemed to have developed this
thing where she would go out and pee,
and not 10 mins later, crap in the
house. I keep pee pads down
for the older dog, Molly but
K refused to use that for crapping
on. Even peeing on it, she would
pee 1/2 way on and off so that the
pee ran under the pad.

Then came the fight.
Yes, Cheyenne started it but
K got the best of C. Leaving
a couple of puncture marks and
C having to be put on meds
for a strained neck.
But with C not feeling well
K decided to start acting like the
Queen Bee.
She would go over to where
C was laying and try starting
something. She started two fights
with Dakota.

Like I said, I was STRESSING
to the max.
Ray and Lori had showed
interest in K and said they would
take her right from the start. I
told them, no that I had promised
mom they would be cared for.
What I meant when I told her that
was I would take them.
I tried really hard but it
was way to much on me.
I hope mom is okay with it.

K will eat dry food, that is what
Lori feeds her dogs. C will not eat that.
Mom cooked for her dogs and I
am having to do the same.
I however have started mixing
dog food with their cooked
food cause I really can't afford
chicken thighs everyday.
I knew that K would be the easiest
to break of the home cooked
meal. So I asked Lori if they
still wanted to try.

They have two labs and a
sheppard that are the most
accepting dogs. You can bring
any animal in there and they seem
to take them under their arm and
love them.
They have a Chloe also and she
is a lot older. She is like the mom of
the group so Chloe now has
a Khloe of her own and she is doing
GREAT.
My heart is happier and the stress
here at the house has gotten better.

Khloe

I tried really hard and I hope
my mom is okay with what
I had to do.

When mom past my brother said he
would take Khloe. I said, no. I made
my mom a promise that I would care
for her babes if anything
ever happened to her and
I did not wish to split
them up.
Its been really hard.

# one, my mom cooked
for her dogs and yes, I
am still cooking for them.
If I put out dry food they
walk away.
Khloe on the other hand
will eat it.

I knew she would be the
easiest to change over.
# two, they showed an
interest in her.
# three, there big labs are always
so accepting of other
animals brought into the house.
I knew they would accept
her.
 # four, she don't like me
or trust me cause I
cut her nails.

She has done great so far.
Been 24 hours.
I just want her to be happy.

The Fight

Interesting morning...

it actually started Sat. night
when I was met at the
door with bags in my hand
and four dogs greeting me.

However, someone must have
stepped on someones paws cause
all of a sudden there was a
free for all.

Cheyenne bring Queen Bee
jumped

Khloe.

There was growling, biting and
I could not get them apart.
Hands were full and they were
going at it so bad I was
afraid to get in the middle.

When I finally managed (after
the worst) got them
apart Cheyenne I realized
got the worst of the beating.

K managed to put a hole in C's
ear, and cut the edge. I thought
that was it but I guess not.

C acted strange all day yesterday
and when we went to bed last
night she got under the bed
and stayed all night, not coming
out at all.

This morn, I had to move the
bed and get her out.
We just came in from the vets.
She apparently strained her
neck. We left with
antibiotics andd anti-
inflammatory. Dr. King
found a wound on the back
above the tail also.

Needless to say, I am going to
work late. But right now, sitting
here chilling and going with the flow...
waiting to see what life and
the universe has in store for
me next.

Took Dakota to the vet
also and he got
his stitches out.

Places to Sit

Some evenings finding a place
to park my rear in the living room
is not all that easy.

The dogs normanlly take over the
couch.....all four of them.
Keep in mind, I have an extra
long couch that is also extra
wide. But when the dogs
crash, they spread out.

Now, Lily has started taking over
my chair.

What happen to animals
laying on the floor?

Tonight

Looking at the pics you would
think that these critters
had a rough life or
at least a hard day.

Walking in my living room at this
time...that is what you would see.

Test Results

My bud....

Test came back from lab as not
being cancer.. however, they take
fluid from one spot in the glands
and that one spot could have just
been void of cancer cells. There was
one thing that read high and that usually
points to cancer. My vet, Dr. King is
pretty sure that it is cancer even though
cells are not showing up yet. The plan is
to treat it like it is, with steroids until he
starts downhill.

My bud has been with me 12
yrs. He has set with me
and kept me under his
watchfull eye when I have
had surgery. He has comforted
me when I cried.
He has made me laugh.
He has pissed me off.
He has loved me and
all he ever wanted in return
was his tummy rubbed....
and to be fed.
Lets not forget the
feedings, Dakota
loves his food.

I will be totally lost when
he is gone but with the
steoids I am shooting for
his leaving me down
the road, not anytime soon.
