Saturday evening I was in the
kitchen when I heard
a racket on the
deck.
I go out just as Lily
runs in.
I see nothing out of
place so I run in to
check on Lily, she
was hovering over
something in the living
room floor with the
dogs wanting to get
closer to her.
I go over to see what
is going on thinking
maybe that lizard
decided to come back
on the deck when Lily
shots up the stairs....
me and dogs right
behind her!
She is in the bathroom,
guarding something.
I pull her away to see
a little bird.
There are a couple
of places in the screen that
have pulled away, that I
need to fix so I guess
it flew in.
I pick it up in a towel
and see it is alive so
I take it out.
I placed towel and all
on the ground and went
back in.
About 5 mins later I
go out just in time
to see it fly away.
I guess it was just
stunned.
I don't think Lily was happy
with me.
so glad this turned out well for the tiny bird... hope Lily is not still pouting. HA HA...
ReplyDeleteLily may not be happy with you but the rest of us are. Good job.
ReplyDeleteI linked this post to Awww Mondays.
Have a fabulous day. Scritches to all the babes. ♥
So glad that you saved it, but Lily was just acting true to form, after all she is a cat! Keep well Diane
ReplyDeleteYep, you took the pet Lily adopted!
ReplyDeleteOh gosh! Charlie did the same thing last year, found a baby robin and had it in her mouth though she was more motherly with it! I'm glad to hear the bird survived, but gosh, it's their instinct to go after birds! If our cats were outdoor cats, we'd be seeing lots of birds in mouth I'm sure!
