Hanging Out and Eating Grass

 I wanted to go out into the yard. Mom came out on the deck to open the screen to let me in the yard. She looked up on the hill in the neighbors yard and there he stood.

He was just hanging around and eating grass.

I couldn't chase it cause I was in the fence.

Hi, this is Pam coming to you on the furbabes blog, I wanted to enlighten you on what Lily

was talking about. I have a set of cat ears, and tail that I picked up early on 

in Sept. just in case I had a reason to wear them for Halloween. I put them on the 

other day to hold my hair back and this is the look I got from Lily. 

HAHA...

that girl is a mess.

Addicted and Intervention

 Okay, okay, okay.....mom is addicted. We need and intervention. 

Yesterday she was back over with these little critters. She helped aunt Kim take them to the vet. They all had a treatment to kill fleas in 10 mins. But due to that, the vet said we might wish to bath them again to be sure and get all the dead fleas and eggs off. They had worming meds also.

In this litter like the last there is only one with a tail. Its an orange one. She was taken by a friend of Aunt Kim's but she was hoping it was a boy....oops, its a girl. Mom says she hopes that she still takes her. She also is the only girl in the bunch. The rest are boys. 

Come on folks help Lily and I with an intervention!

Cat Whisperer Bathing

 Mom is pushing her luck with all these kittens. Yesterday she went to Aunt Kim's and Uncle Markie's house to give mama cats  the 2nd litter a bath!

Oh my.....WATER. So glad that was not me getting that bath, I do a good job staying clean. However mom said these babes had fleas and they were coming in the house so that they could go to the vet this morn. They wanted to knock off some of those fleas so they did not come in. 

Uncle Mark caught one babe at a time and mom gave them their bath. Mark sprayed the suds off them and Mom dried the. Uncle Mark had a special space made in the spare bedroom for them so that they can't get out. One of the babes already has a home once it has flea meds, shots and fixed. Mom is so excited about that, she wanted to find homes for the first litter but mama cat had them wild by the time they were 4 weeks old. Apparently this litter is socialized feral and could be made into great furbabes. 

Mom did say she was not sure what to expect in bathing these babes since the only cat she ever gave a bath to was me and I was perfect. But she said they were all so good. It was like an AW moment when they were put in the warm water. They seemed to have liked it and she was pretty sure they loved being wrapped in a towel and cuddled. 

My aunt Kim calls mom the cat whisperer, I think she might be right.

Oops....Its a Girl

 Oops....apparently it is really hard to tell a kitten's sex when they are really young. The vet said that they thought Uno was a boy but....Uno is a girl. 

Mom said she went back for a check up today and the vet said that she was a girl. Apparently ONE in Spanish for a female is pronounced Una not Uno. And Gata means purring cat. So I think they are going to call her Una Gata.

Remember Chey and I telling you about Uno.....well Mom told us she calls him Yoda cause to her he looks like Yoda (whoever that is).

haha....mom just showed me a pic of Yoda and this pic of the kitten Yoda and they do look alike!

Mom said she put this same pic on fb the other day and a friend of hers said that it looked like Jaws was trying to eat Yoda.

She took these pics and sent them to the vet for a contest. If you remember I was dressed as a baby last year. Mom is looking for the pic but can't seem to locate it...sorry.

Anyway, Mom better hope I don't have to put this on again or I might have to cast a spell upon her. So mote it be.

Cats, Cats, and More Cats

Hi its me Lily......

Oh no, not in the pic or the painting.....but my doing this post.

Mom thought this was just so CUTE.

Mom was over visiting Uno and when she went out to leave all four of Mama Cat's from the earlier litter this year were hoping to get cheese.

This is the last litter. There are four. Two orange and two that look like Mama. But these two were the only two that came out to entertain mom.

Mom came back home to us, she was not gone that long but she said she could have watched these two all day. 

This is Mama Cat and she just watched while mom sat and watched the babes play.

So glad that at least mom is leaving the cats at Mark and Kim's and not bringing them home with her.

Those Kittens

 

Mom says this is a pretty little face, 

but all I see is the face of a kitten.

Then there is this pic of that pretty face kitten curled up in my moms arms.

I just don't know about all this kitten stuff.

She told me these kittens are the ones from the last litter of babes that mama cat had. A little over 4 weeks old and just learning to climb out of their igloo. 

Hoping that mom stays away from these and stops going over to see them and that other new babe called Uno.

This is a pic mom took the other day when Chey and I was taking a nap. I had to run away into moms bedroom to nap yesterday.

THOSE BOYS WERE HERE!

 

Chey loves these little humans but I don't share that with her. I am not a fan of our house being turned upside down with wild humans running around like turkey's with their heads cut off. And LOUD....wow, I like our house calmer then it is when they are here. Mom promised that these little humans were going home today!!!!!!!!!

Uno

 Mom has been at it again. 

She went over to Uncle Mark and Aunt Kim's house to help with Uno, that new little kitten that is being bottle fed. Mom went to do some feeding and to see about helping Uno go potty. You see, if you don't know this, kittens under two weeks of age that are away from mom have to be taught how to go to the BR. 

Mom is going to check on Uno today cause she tried three times and could not get Uno to potty and it had been over 24 hours. 

Oh but mom said he is a mess cause he wiggles and wiggles and hates to be held. He will cry and cry but when you put him in his box with the heating pad, off to sleep he goes. 

Poor baby but I hope Aunt Kim keeps him away from this house.

 Mom is working on some project using old blue jeans....and I found some of her work. I crawled under them and got warm after being on the cool deck...

Ball of Fur

My aunt Kim, being she don't have enough to care for took in another kitten. Someone on FB posted the feral mom abandoned it and she needed someone to care for it since she could not. Kim watched to comment and when no one jumped in to say they would, Kim did.

Put it on a heating pad and fed it for the night then took to the vet the next morn. I thought it would be good to put it with mama kitty whom still nursing, but vet said NO. Said not knowing mama cats health it was best not to do that. So babe is being fed with a bottle.

Mom fed it the other day. 

Just so long as she don't bring it home.

Is the Grass Greener on the Other Side

 Every time my mom heads out the door I want to go also. I drive mom nuts at times. This day however (and it happens a lot) mom made me stay in the fence and she was on the other side.

You see mom says I am a RUNNER. That if I get out I am GONE. In my defense I just like to get out and investigate. Just checking to see if the grass is greener on the other side of the fence. Can't seem to get her to understand that.
