Food Bowls

Just look at this sweet
face....so sweet and innocent.

Yeah, right!

Remember the issue I was
having with Lily dumping
her food bowl?

Depending on which way she
pushed it, it either went in
the floor between the john
and the cabinet or the other way
right in the sink.

Well...I sort of put a stop to that
days ago.

I velcroed it to this piece of carpet
that I had cut for her to sit on.

It's been days since there was an issue,
but then tonight...

She dumps the dogs food!

Could be from being left alone all
day while I was at the
hospital or the fact that
Dakota stayed the night at
mom's!

Who knows.

Let Sleeping Dogs Lay

Dakota has this bad habit of wanting
to lay on the back cushion of the
couch.

Last night I curled up next to that cushion
and rubbed my boy till
he fell asleep.

Such a bad mom, he needed
braces as a young pup!

Not all that is the white on
him...it's gray.
Those two little spots under
the eye popped up a few months
ago...gray.

oops, sleeping, snoring and
rolling eyes!

Some dogs are just prone to
get skin tags, Dakota is one
of those dogs. He had a big one
on his neck and I have had to
remove his collar so it will stop
rubbing it. This one is on his back
leg. He actually has about 10 on him.

Man he is out of it.

Me and my bud.

Hey mom, I woke from my nap!

Every morning these two get me
up REALLY early,
Usually around 4 or 4:30.
Dakota tried to wake me around that
time but I got him to lay back down
but Lily decided to wake me around 5:15.
So I am up doing my blog, I have
had coffee already.
But here I am ....up....blogging....
and they sleep!
HAHA

The Little Bit Mess

Yesterday I was working in the
2nd guest room. It is going to take
a lot of work but just trying to get it
where I could walk in there and
maybe get to my desktop.

While moving things around I turned
to see the supervisor of this
project.

Really not sure she approves.

I look at her on the back of my chair and
I don't see my little kitten anymore.
She looks like a full grown cat.

The last couple of days has been nice so
Lily has been able to get out on the deck.

She might look like a cat in
the pics above but here when
curled up like this she still looks
like that kitten.

Last night around 10:30 I started to bed. I
hunted out Lily to see where she was
and here is where I found her
sound asleep!

So sweet.

Thanks for checking in on my furbabes.

Melts my Heart

I love how Lily has to try out
every box that comes into the
house. When she does I have to
go cutting openings for her.

It was a beautiful day yesterday and
all three of us were enjoying it.

Mom...I am so tired.

My fav shot of the day (below).
Check out Dakota's paw!

Later when Dakota and I went in
Lily just stayed out
chilling.

Life and Adventures of Living with Lily!

So..those of you that have cats have
you ever had to deal with this?

Cat
verses
PJ tie strings?

The funniest is being in the kitchen
cooking, wearing your apron and the
kitty decides to jump on your back to
get the tie strings on the apron!
Throws you off a bit!

Last week temps in the single digits
yesterday's high 70 degrees!
Lily loved it.
She was allowed on the deck to
watch the birds.

I was piled up on the couch the other
morning and after running and playing
like a wild animal, Lily needed to nap.
She loves getting close to her bud when
she naps. She starts on the end of the
couch and works her way up to him.
He was in a snapping mood though cause
he was next to mom and he did not
want her getting attention.
Lily settled for this distance
although she kept trying to stretch
out her paw to touch him.

A tad later I moved to the chair.
Keep in mind I have an extra long couch,
but they needed to be close.
I am in the chair with my feet on
the ottoman, they are also
on the ottoman!!!

Check out Lily's paw....she wanted
to touch me.

This morning the three of us did coffee on
the deck...Okay, I had one cup of coffee and
they had none.
Dakota was curled up under cover next
to me, like he is now but we have
moved inside.

I just recently had to make Lily come
in so I could shut the door, it started
raining and was getting too cool.

While cleaning up the cabinet in the kitchen
I located something I have been looking
for, VELCRO!

Lily has no clue that the Velcro
is for her....sort of.

Here she thinks it is something to play
with....haha

But with pieces cut and applied
to the bottom of her bowl,

and put in place....the bowl will
not move easily.

I have a piece of carpet square that I
cut a section off. It lays next to the sink
in the bathroom so Lily sits on that
while she eats.
VELCROED that bowl right to the
carpet piece so that it is not stuck to
my counter top.

Hoping this changes things.

Lily All Boxed Up

I rec'd a package in the mail the other
day.
And of course Lily had to
try out the box!

She might be little but she
gets to running and playing and
this is how my rubber backed
run ends up. I stated rubber
backed cause I thought that
would help this from happening but
NO...not against a small
kitten!

Oh Lily you make me laugh.
