Sleeping....REALLY

The day before yesterday my two

sweet furbabes woke me up playing....

right on top of me!

I laughed and started my day.

However yesterday they woke

me differently, 

Lily meowing wanting to go out

and Dakota scratching at me.

I got up.

Got my coffee and 

went to the deck to blog,

facebook and enjoy the sounds

of the birds.

I look over to see these sites!

After all, they had to get me up early

so they could sleep on the deck!

Gotta get that deck bed made

then we can spend some 

nights out there sleeping.

SILLY Little Lily Being Herself

I have been so tired in the eveings lately

that a couple of times I have

fallen asleep on the couch.

I ended up sleeping there

last night and being 

woken this morn but 

Lily and Dakota 

PLAYING

on top of me!

The joys of owning furbabes

or would that be

more like the joys of them

owning you?!

Thought I would bring my roses

out my brother gave me to 

enjoy them on the deck...

Lily had to of course

check them out.

Yesterday I think the heat

got her...

she crashed on the deck

and was sunning.

My furbabes love you guys....

Furbabes Loving the Deck Life

They love the deck

Of course Dakota will be up 

next to mom

on the glider and Lily,

well Lily is all over 

the place!

Right now she has taken 

over the box

from the shed that 

I need to go

through. 

We have two cats that 

walk through the yard,

a black and white one

and another cream sort

of looking cat.

Not sure where they live

but they manage to include

my yard in their path.

Drives the furbabes

crazy! Esp. like the other

day when the black and 

white decided to hang 

under the deck...

Dakota and the New Bandanna

Check out Dakota, AKA the King,

he is wearing a new bandanna mom

got him at Wally World last night. 

It has dog bones and bowls plus

doggie paw prints on it!

He was thinking he was totally cool till 

he was walking in the yard with mom 

and she added this.

haha.....she put it on me for the pic

but then she removed it.

Dakota can take the deck or leave it...

he is for sure an indoor dog.

Lily on the other hand loves the deck!

Lily - Alone for the First Time

Dakota is 11 and he has been with

me since he was 6 months.

I used to take trips with work for a 

couple nights at a time and then

I would fly to Calif. to visit my son.

Dakota has always stayed with my mom

and I know he is well cared for.

But oh my, what to do with Lily?

Leave her home.....

I so hated to do that and I worried about

her so much but thanks

to T (Theresa) who went over 

everyday to feed her and spend

time with her.

This pic is Thursday night when 

Theresa went to check on her (her

first night alone). She looks pissed but

I also know this is her "I just woke up"

look.

T said that once she was awake she was

BUSY....that is T's word for wild! haha

The next evening, Friday, T went over

and sat on the deck with Lily.

 The text read, 

"Lily may or may not be drinking a

beer with me"!

This pic was included.

But Lily seems to be able to balance

pretty well so maybe it was 

just T having the beer!

In the evening when T got to the house

this is how she was greeted!

Sat. night I was sent this pic....Lily

chilling in her play tunnel. 

I felt so much better knowing that 

T was there to care for her.

A few weeks ago I told my mom that 

I was sending Lily back where I got

her from cause she never showed

me that she was happy to see me.

haha....but if Dakota

has been gone she always greets

him....

But this time.....I have gotten head butts,

nose butts, rubbing on me to mark me, 

love nibbles and loving all around!

She greeted me when I got home by

watching me get out of the car

from her perch at the window. 

Before I could get the door unlocked

she was meowing at the door.

I went in and she nose butted my

legs before I was in the door good!

Think I will keep her!

Still getting loving this morn.

Dakota was out at mom's when I pulled up 

yesterday evening. He was so excited,

jumping and wagging his tail. 

True to form, he always shows

me that he misses me and loves me.

We are on the deck with coffee this morn...

like old times, Dakota is next to me

on the glider and Lily is watching 

birds!

There is NO PLACE

like HOME!

These two love each other so much.

As the year goes by I see so many changes

in Lily as she grows.

Just like a child, growing and learning

daily and changing.

But I love sites like this and I 

realize that as Lily changes there are

some things that stay the samey.

Lily jumped up to be

next to Dakota.

First not touching.

Then she stretched out and lightly

touched him.

Realizing he would not jump up and 

start playing she stretched out

more, touching more.

Now....all is well.

But then Dakota flips over and

moves around causing Lily

to shift her position also.

Her body is still touching him

though.

Love that these two love each other.

Pets Lazy Deck Day

A Day With The Furbabes

All you folks that have had cats

know that they love to get in

things. It still amazes me what Lily

finds comfortable to get in...

The paper recycle carrier!

Yesterday it was so pretty out but 

I was running on empty so I just

wanted to take it easy. 

I curled up on the glider to nap with

my two furbabes on the deck with me.

I went out into the yard and goofed off

a bit, I had my trusty side kick with me!

  

Although I was sitting on the ground he took

a chair! haha

He don't know he is a dog!

I am used to Dakota begging, he has done

it all is life but Lily Bit don't beg......

or at least not for anything other

than banana!

She sees me pick one up and start to

peel it back, she is there, sitting at my

feet watching. I can almost see the moisture

dripping from her lips!

I have to bite pieces off to give her.

I love my furbabes...they are 

amazing!

Silly Little Lily Being Silly and Sweet

Borrowed a bunch of cream colored

tablecloths from a friend for 

Amber's wedding.

I have been slowly, here and there washing

them. Trying to unfold them to wash and

Lily wants to play.

After playing of course she wants to 

curl up in the bin that they store in.

This is a framer for sure!

Oh mom I am so tired.

Yesterday I took a break and decided 

to sit down, I looked up and 

saw this little head that kept

popping up over the laundry

basket....looking at me.

She really loves the small trash can

I keep in the living room.

I have found her in it several times.

I kept this box after Christmas

cause it has its own openings and 

I keep it under the window next

to her perch. 

Half in and half out.

Yesterday I caught her watching a 

wasp on the other

side of the screen. 

  

Dakota is well. 

He sleeps more than he used to at

the age of 11. Yesterday he

was all over my nerves. He was

following me all over the house, the

yard and of course going to the bathroom

alone is a joke.

BUT I LOVE HIM.
