Thursday Morn Deck Time

How sweet can it get?

My Furbabes - Oh How I Love Them

Due to a wicked sounding thunderstorm this

morning I was awake earlier than normal. Don't get

me wrong, I can sleep through those storms but

poor Dakota was having a fit. I 

got him under the cover and held him

till it past. 

Lily on the other hand noticed the sound of 

thunder but it don't bother her.

Last night while I was in the livingroom I

heard Lily jump off the bed then I head a meow,

sort crying panic meow.

I called to her and told her I was downstairs

and here she comes bouncing down the stairs...

meowing the whole way.

I figure she had a nightmare and woke not

being able to find mom.

I picked her up and was able to love

on her, getting several nose butts along

the way.

This morning after the storms past I 

laid down on the couch and went back 

asleep. This is so off from our normal morn

where I fix coffee and Dakota, Lily and I go 

to the deck. Before I laid back down I opened

the door to let Lily out.

Sleeping I hear this short loud meow

as she comes bopping in the livingroom...

her way of telling me she wants me outside

with her. Now that I have come out and sat

a bit, I am free to go in and do anything without

her calling me out on it but she just knew

our morning did not start like it was

supposed to and she wanted me to change that.

Furbabes....bring me so much love.

Oh Mom, I am Sorry Tired

Yesterday at one point Lily came

in off the deck and 

flopped down like this!

And just laid there!

Love that colorful belly!

Lounge Babes

You all know that me and the furbabes

start our day on the deck...unless its winter!

If not too hot I will just stay out there

if there is nothing else I need to be doing.

But lately the heat has been picking up 

so I come and go. I will go in and do

something then later come and break on the 

deck. I have two fans going!

Lily must have been tired of the heat

yesterday cause I found her parked

between the kitchen door.

Yes, if it is not really hot, I have that open.

When the heat picks up however I have

a piece of wood I wedge there so it

is barely open and she can come and go.

Dakota however was stretched out on 

one of my breaks. Keep in mind, he will not

be out here unless I am. If I am in the kitchen,

he will be there, if I go the bathroom he is

going.....got the picture?

We are still on the deck this morning.

The wind is really blowing and the temps

are heating up fast. We were due

rain and storms last night but never

got anything. Hoping for rain today so I 

don't have to water!

Here is Dakota an hour ago while

I surfed FB.

Getting his mommy love.

And here is his sister Lily!

She has taken to wanting to veg in the 

metal chairs for some reason. 

I don't question this girls coming and 

goings at all, I have learned that with a cat

they do as they please !! 

haha

  

But oh my gosh...

how adorable is this?

Not Feeling Well

Dakota tends to get tummy upsets

from time to time I contribute this to 

his not chewing his food. He

opens mouth and inhales!

He always has. It helps if I 

mix pumpkin in his food but for 

reason I have slacked on that.

Yesterday his tummy had the whines, and 

grunts and groans!

He did not eat lunch till late in the 

evening and laid around more so than

usual. He tends to lay around with 

me when I am down but yesterday

it was more about him.

With that I have noticed that Lily

sort of plays off Dakota and 

I. One day last week I was down

and both babes laid around with me.

Yesterday however, like I said, you could

tell Dakota was not laying around

due to me, it was more him and 

I noticed Lily did not have the 

pick up and go she normally has.

Do your animals tend to mimick

your behavior?

Oh the Life

Last week when my youngest

grandson came to visit

I picked up this

velcro catching set.

Braden and I tossed it some but then

he tossed it to Lily who

rolled around on the chair between

her paws for a bit then decided

it was her's and she was not

giving it back.

Yesterday morning these babes

laid together on the deck

before the heat moved in and 

we all went in.

Notice that in the first pic

Dakota is looking at the camera....

But in the last pic Lily is.

Can't get them to play along at the same

time and of course Dakota looks

totally bored.

I got up to go fix my oatmeal 

and came back to Lily

curled up in my chair.

But as soon as I sat on the glider

with my brown sugar and maple

oatmeal she came running.

Lily is not a beggar till it

comes to a banana or

this oatmeal.

Silly critters.

Innocent Faces

Look at those faces!

So sweet, so innocent...

yeah, right!

Dakota don't get into things like he used

to when he was a pup but

Lily on the other hand is a different

story.

You see, if you read my blog today you

know that there has been 

a lot of things spilled on 

my kitchen floor, however with that

being said, it is usually me that 

does the spilling!

Notice almond bag, not sealed

back like it should have been.

This is what can happen with 

Lily around.

Course that just goes to show that

she DOES still get on the 

counter tops when I am not 

looking.

BRAT!

Now the funny part of all this is,

when I went in the kitchen to find this,

Lily just looked at me like she was

saying, "what" as I got onto

her. I then told Dakota that she

was his pet and he needed to watch

her better at what point he decided

it was time to shake his head...

in a no manner!

WHAT THE HECK!

HAHA..

A Down Sort of Day

Its been a down day for me today 

but I love how my furbabes 

hang with me through it all.

Gotta love these babes.

What is it About a Cat and Her Box?

Not yet a year ago I brought 

Tiger Lily

AKA Lily Bit

home in this very box.

I tossed it out on the deck to

take to recycle a long time

ago but it seems I never

made it there with it...

Now I think it is a good thing!

 Lily loves a good ole box!

Even smaller ones in 

the  house!

However Dakota 

AKA The KING

don't care for boxes.

He thinks it is fun however when

Lily jumps in one and he

tried to get her!
